The new Toyota Prius is only slightly declassified – the rear part of the hatchback with lights and a small segment of the tailgate is visible. Earlier, renders of the model appeared online, hinting at a more radical design than the current Prius.
It is known that the Toyota Prius 2022 hybrid will retain the TNGA platform, but will grow slightly in size. The powertrain will remain the same, although it will likely be seriously refined.
In particular, the Japanese publication BestCarWeb reports that the Prius will get a more economical 1.8-liter engine and a larger capacity battery. As before, versions with front and all-wheel drive will be available. A plug-in hybrid Toyota Prius with an increased electric range will appear a bit later.
