The pre-production version of the model was shown in Shanghai, and it is quite possible that on some markets the car will retain the name Mondeo or Fusion. Similar to the new Citroen C5 X, the car combines features of a station wagon and a crossover. It has a sloping roofline and a huge radiator grille, like the Ford Equator.
In the Ford Evos interior, a huge display almost the entire width of the front panel immediately catches the eye. It reaches 1.1 meters and is divided into three sections – a virtual instrument cluster, a multimedia touchscreen, and a separate screen for the front passenger. The trim is accented with bright orange inserts. Among the options is a semi-autonomous driving system.
The new Ford Evos is built on an extended platform of the Focus and Kuga. The crossover's characteristics have not yet been disclosed, but in China a plug-in hybrid was presented. Most likely, it received a 225-horsepower unit from the same Kuga with a 2.5-liter gasoline four-cylinder and an electric motor.
