The Volkswagen Group has decided to revive the legendary Horch brand. This marque, like Audi, was founded by August Horch. In 1932, the companies Audi, Horch, DKW, and Wanderer merged into the Auto Union concern, whose symbol became four rings.

By analogy with Mercedes-Maybach, the new Audi A8 Horch will be a lengthened modification of the sedan with the most luxurious equipment. The interior will use expensive grades of leather and valuable wood species. It is expected that separate seats with electric drive, ventilation, and massage functions will be installed in the rear.
In addition, a flagship W12 engine with a displacement of 6.0 liters will be provided specifically for the Audi A8 Horch. Its output will be at least 600 horsepower. It is quite possible that this model will become the last 12-cylinder Audi — the introduction of Euro-7 environmental standards, scheduled for 2025, will put an end to such an engine.
