The design of the Kia Cerato has been updated in the spirit of the older K5 sedan (the successor to the Optima). The sedan has a new narrow radiator grille and modified swept-back headlights. The taillights are stretched across the full width of the body. In more expensive versions, the optics are fully LED.

Inside, a modern virtual instrument panel and a large 10.25-inch touchscreen have appeared. New interior trim options are offered, and the list of options has been supplemented with remote engine start and an electromechanical parking brake.

The engines of the Kia Cerato 2021 will most likely remain unchanged. In different markets, the sedan is offered with gasoline engines of 1.6 liters (132 and 204 hp) and 2.0 liters (150 hp), as well as a 1.6-liter 136-horsepower turbodiesel. And there are four gearboxes at once – 6-speed manual and automatic, a 7-speed robot with two clutches, and a CVT.
