The new Volkswagen Taigun will be produced in India – at the same plant as Skoda Kushaq. However, the model will also be sold in other countries. Both cars are built on the MQB-A0 IN platform. The Taigun reaches 4221 mm in length and 1760 mm in width, with a wheelbase of 2651 mm.

In profile, the Volkswagen crossover is similar to its Skoda sibling, but the front end is executed in the traditional style of the German brand. The headlights can also be LED.

Photos of the interior have not yet been published, but it is known that top versions will receive a virtual instrument panel and a 10-inch touchscreen. Among the options are leather upholstery, a rear-view camera, cruise control, and even seat ventilation.

Buyers will be offered petrol turbo engines with a displacement of 1.0 L (115 hp) and 1.5 L (150 hp). In the first case, 6-speed manual and automatic transmissions will be available; in the second, a manual or a 7-speed DSG robot. Drive will be front-wheel only.
