The new Volkswagen Nivus is already on sale in Latin America at a price starting from about $16 thousand, and its production is established in Brazil. In Europe, the coupe-crossover will appear at the end of this year. It will be produced in Spanish Pamplona – in the same place as Volkswagen Polo and T-Cross.

These models are the closest relatives of the Volkswagen Taigo, as they use the same MQB-A0 platform. Roughly speaking, the Taigo is a coupe-like version of the Volkswagen T-Cross. The main external difference of the newcomer is the sloping roofline.

It is known that the base version will get LED headlights and a virtual instrument panel. The 4.2-meter crossover has a fairly large trunk with a volume of 415 liters. For an additional cost, keyless access, climate control, rain and light sensors, a rear-view camera, Wi-Fi, and adaptive cruise control will be offered.
The compact Volkswagen crossover will be equipped with 1.0-liter petrol turbo engines with 95 and 115 hp. A 1.5-liter 150-horsepower version may also appear.
