At first glance, the Renault Arkana 2021 for the European Union is practically no different from the version from the Zaporizhzhia Automobile Plant (more about it in our video review). However, in reality, it is a completely different car.

The thing is that the Renault crossover in Ukraine is built on the B0 platform, like the Duster. But the European version uses the CMF-B architecture, like the new Renault Captur 2021. It is slightly larger (4568 mm in length) with the same wheelbase of 2721 mm.

The most noticeable differences between the two versions of Renault Arkana are visible in the interior. The EU version received a virtual instrument cluster and a large 9.3-inch portrait touchscreen. Moreover, it has a wider list of options – for example, there is a parking autopilot and a semi-autonomous driving system.

The engines of the Renault Arkana in Europe also differ. Offered are 1.3-liter turbocharged petrol engines with 140 and 160 hp (in Ukraine, the power of this engine is 150 hp), and there is also a 145-horsepower hybrid version that consumes an average of 4.9 l/100 km.

In addition, the petrol versions received not a CVT, but a 7-speed gearbox with two clutches. However, our Renault Captur has an advantage – it is also available with all-wheel drive, while in the EU there will be exclusively front-wheel-drive crossovers.
