The 2021 Honda HR-V has grown larger and undergone a radical exterior redesign. The car became the first model in the new corporate styling of the Japanese brand.

The Honda HR-V features a high hood, a wide radiator grille, and slanted LED headlights. The roofline has become less sloping, and the taillights are stretched across the full width of the body. Perhaps the only design trait shared with its predecessor is the hidden rear door handles.

Inside, the trim materials have been improved, and a large 9-inch touchscreen has been added. The signature Magic Seats rear seats, with their liftable cushions, are also retained.

The specifications of the 2021 Honda HR-V have not yet been fully disclosed, but two versions have been mentioned. The first will get a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated gasoline four-cylinder engine, while the second will feature a new hybrid setup with a 1.5-liter engine and a pair of electric motors. Front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive variants will be offered.
