The new Toyota GR Corolla is being developed by the Gazoo Racing sports division, which creates sports prototypes for Le Mans and rally cars. The car will get the same 1.6-liter 257-horsepower turbo engine as the younger Toyota GR Yaris. Acceleration to 100 km/h will take less than 6 seconds.

Most likely, the hot model will get a 6-speed manual transmission and all-wheel drive with a set of self-locking differentials. Naturally, the suspension and brakes will be upgraded.

The Toyota GR Corolla can be recognized by its huge front air intake, body kit, and roof spoiler. The interior will feature sports seats and a new steering wheel.

Recall that the Toyota Corolla is the most popular car in the world. Over a million of these cars were sold in 2020.
