The Toyota GR010 Hybrid sports prototype and its production version were created by the Gazoo Racing division in just 19 months. The car has well-developed aerodynamics, and the carbon coupe weighs only 1040 kg.

The hybrid powertrain consists of a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 driving the rear wheels and an electric motor on the front axle. Total output is 670 hp.

Already in 2021, Toyota hybrids will start the 24-hour race at Le Mans. The car with race number 7 will be driven by the crew of Kamui Kobayashi, Mike Conway, and Jose Maria Lopez, while car No. 8 will be driven by Le Mans 2020 winners Sebastien Buemi, Kazuki Nakajima, and Brendon Hartley.
The production model will appear a little later. It will be released in a very limited series and will undoubtedly be the most expensive car in the brand's history.
