The publication auto.cz has published photos of the Skoda Fabia of the 2022 model year. Judging by the images, visually the new model will resemble the new Octavia and Scala (the latter, recall, is the successor to the famous budget car Rapid), but overall it will retain the appearance of the current generation of the model – with its characteristic sharp lines and accents on the "angularity" of the body.
But there will be more technical changes: the car should move to the MQB A0 platform, thanks to which the Fabia will finally catch up with its group siblings in terms of technology (for example, VW Polo and the same Skoda Scala are based on this chassis).
What engines the Skoda Fabia 2022 will have is not yet known, but for sure it will offer a 1.0-liter three-cylinder TSI engine; in addition, a 1.5-liter four-cylinder TSI may appear, but diesel versions, including the 1.6 TDI engine, will most likely not be available for the new model.
As before, the Skoda Fabia will be offered in two body styles – hatchback and station wagon.
