The Ecosport Active model, which occupies the top position in the lineup along with the ST-Line version, is priced at $28,000. The stated goal of the new product is to give outdoor enthusiasts more driving impressions.

The new suspension tuning is complemented by recognizable off-road exterior elements: massive black plastic wheel arch extensions and side moldings. A slight suspension lift is designed to improve the vehicle's behavior off-road.

The interior has changed slightly compared to other trim levels — the distinctive feature of the version is leather seats with embroidery on the backrests.

Buyers will be offered a choice of two petrol engines with a displacement of 1.0 liter with three cylinders or a 1.5-liter diesel unit. Torque is transmitted to the front wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox.

As noted by Ford Europe's vice president of marketing, sales, and service, customers often say they appreciate the combination in the Ecosport of bold design, a practical interior, and versatility that fits into their busy lifestyle. Therefore, the company decided to expand the SUV range with the Active version, which enhances these advantages.

The appearance of the Active trim is associated with the reorganization of the Ford model lineup. From now on, the main models will be offered in ST-Line, Performance, Titanium, and Active versions, as well as receive X and Vignale versions for Fiesta and Focus.

In addition, Ford will begin selling ready-made option packages, as well as individual tuning elements. According to the company, this approach will improve the price-quality ratio and simplify the choice for buyers.
