The rear-wheel drive hypercar is built on the basis of the Aventador SVJ model and is powered by a 6.5-liter V12 with more than 830 hp (the manufacturer does not specify exact figures). The engine works in conjunction with a sequential six-speed Xtrac gearbox. The hypercar was developed by the Squadra Corse sports division and the Centro Stile design studio.
The carbon fiber monocoque allowed achieving an excellent power-to-weight ratio - about 1.66 hp per 1 kg. Downforce is 1200 kg at a speed of 250 km/h.
The new hypercar became the first GT-class car that fully complies with FIA requirements for prototypes. The model's equipment includes magnesium wheels with a diameter of 19 inches at the front and 20 inches at the rear, Brembo Motorsport brakes, as well as an adjustable rear wing and a double air intake on the hood.
The Lamborghini Essenza SCV12 will be produced in a limited edition of only 40 units. All hypercar owners will also receive personal garage boxes in Sant'Agata Bolognese.
