The restyled sedan and wagon feature a new design for the radiator grille and bumpers, as well as the design of the front and rear lights. Additionally, new body colors and wheel options have been added.

The updated interior features a slightly modified steering wheel, improved seats, and an upgraded multimedia system.

All versions of the "five" are now hybrid: either "mild" with a 48-volt starter-generator or "full" with an electric motor. The sedan also gets a new hybrid version 545e xDrive with a three-liter turbo engine, which paired with an electric motor produces 394 hp and 600 Nm.

Production of the restyled BMW 5 Series starts in July, and the new model will appear at dealerships in August.
