Judging by the published image, the crossover will get an updated radiator grille and a different front bumper. Volkswagen America representative Hendrik Muth emphasized that during the restyling, the Tiguan will undergo noticeable changes in appearance, which will mainly affect the front part of the car.
In the interior, solutions familiar from the eighth Golf are likely to appear. It is expected that the number of physical buttons will be reduced — their place will be taken by touch surfaces. Also, LED headlights will become standard equipment even for base trims, and matrix headlights IQ Lights will be offered as an option.
It is known that the updated Tiguan will be available in a hybrid version, and the engine lineup will be supplemented with units from the Evo family. Later, the R-Line version and the high-performance Tiguan R modification will appear in the range.
