The crossover, designed for the Chinese market, has its own features compared to versions for other countries. The main difference is a different shape of the front part of the body, where two-tier head optics are installed. During the update, the car received a new radiator grille and a redesigned front bumper.

In the Chinese market, the Tucson is available exclusively with a turbocharged petrol engine with a power of 177 horsepower. This engine is paired with a seven-speed robotic transmission with two clutches. Buyers are offered both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive options.

The premiere of the new generation Hyundai Tucson is expected this year. According to available information, the range of power units will be replenished with a new 2.5-liter petrol engine from the Theta3 family, which will be offered in two versions: with and without turbocharging. This engine will work in conjunction with an eight-speed automatic transmission. In addition, the crossover will retain the previous 1.6-liter turbocharged "four" in its lineup.
