The original T1 Samba Bus has undergone a complete modernization. The vehicle was built on a reinforced chassis, which features enhanced safety, and the interior now includes a digital instrument panel and leather-upholstered seats. Additionally, the new model features LED lighting and a tablet mounted in the console on the ceiling. The specifications of the powertrain are still being kept under wraps.
In the near future, Volkswagen intends to release an electric crossover, a minivan, and possibly a flagship sedan that will become the spiritual successor to the Phaeton model. The possibility of an electric SUV is also not ruled out. By 2025, the German manufacturer plans to establish serial production of more than 20 models with electric motors.
The public unveiling of the electric vehicle is scheduled for the Techno Classica exhibition, which will be held in Essen at the end of March.
