It is known that the new Seat Leon is based on the same platform as the Volkswagen Golf, and the range of power units will include petrol and diesel engines. The model will also receive a hybrid powertrain similar to that used on the Skoda Octavia RS: it combines a 1.4-liter turbo engine and an electric motor, producing a total of about 200 horsepower (in the Octavia RS, this unit develops 245 horsepower). In addition, a more powerful version with an output of 300 horsepower is likely to appear.
Early teasers showed front LED optics with dynamic turn indicators. The video also showed the interior: a virtual instrument panel and contour interior lighting. When unlocking the doors, the greeting "Hola!" is projected onto the asphalt.
