The new model differs from the standard e-tron not only in its silhouette and dimensions, but also in improved aerodynamics: the drag coefficient has dropped from 0.28 to 0.25, which added 10 kilometers to the range.

The coupe-crossover is 13 millimeters lower than the e-tron with the same length and width, which are 4901 and 1935 millimeters respectively. Both electric vehicles are based on the MLB Evo architecture and are standardly equipped with air suspension, allowing the ground clearance to be changed within a range of 76 millimeters.
The Audi e-tron Sportback is the first in the world to feature matrix LED headlights on a micro-mirror crystal. They rely on a microchip with a million reflective elements that change their tilt up to 5000 times per second under the influence of electrostatic fields. The headlights show animations on walls and the ground, illuminate the lane on the highway, and also help driving assistants navigate in the dark. and German design. The optics will appear on the list of available options in mid-2020.

The base e-tron Sportback is powered by a setup consisting of two electric motors with a total output of 313 horsepower and 540 Nm of torque. They are powered by a battery with a capacity of 71 kilowatt-hours. Such a crossover accelerates from standstill to 100 km/h in 6.8 seconds, and the top speed limiter kicks in at 190 kilometers per hour. The declared range of the electric crossover is 347 kilometers on the WLTP cycle.
The more powerful version, the e-tron Sportback 55 quattro, is equipped with a 95-kilowatt battery and a 360-horsepower electric setup, while the output of the electric motors can temporarily increase to 408 horsepower. This allows it to reach 100 kilometers per hour in 5.7 seconds and accelerate to 200 kilometers per hour. On a single charge, this modification of the crossover travels 446 kilometers.

The price of the model is already known: in Europe, the e-tron Sportback can be purchased for 71.35 thousand euros. Sales are scheduled to start in spring 2020.
