This model name is a reference to the most powerful modifications of the first-generation Mustang sports car. Prices for the electric car start at $43,895. The main competitors of the Mach-E are called Tesla Model Y and Jaguar I-Pace.

The car is built on the Global Electrified 2 (GE2) platform, which is a modernized version of the C2 architecture used by the Focus and Kuga models. Base versions with rear-wheel drive are available in two power options: 255 and 282 horsepower. Older modifications with all-wheel drive are equipped with a 332-horsepower unit.
Later, the GT Performance version will debut, which is equipped with an electric unit with a capacity of 459 horsepower. This modification of the crossover can accelerate to 100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds. Depending on the version, the electric car can travel from 340 to 600 kilometers without recharging. You can replenish the battery charge to 80% in 38 minutes thanks to the fast charging system. The company noted that the cost of owning the car over a five-year period (120,000 km) will be approximately 38% less than for the Escape model with a traditional internal combustion engine.

The crossover received front and rear optics in the style of the original "Mustang", a coupe-like silhouette and a closed "radiator grille". The car has two trunks - with a volume of 821 liters (1688 liters with the rear seats folded) and 136 liters. The car does not have traditional door handles; instead, special buttons are installed. Inside, there is a digital instrument panel and a large touchscreen display with a diameter of 15.5 inches. The new product also received a Bang & Olufsen audio system with 10 speakers and a panoramic roof.
