The basis of the experimental vehicle was the Lada Ellada — a first-generation Kalina with an electric motor. The hydrogen wagon differs from the donor by a synchronous electric motor without permanent magnets of its own design by LLC "Electric Transport Technologies" (the same company built the Matryoshka drone), which produces 10 percent more torque than the standard one, a 24-kilowatt-hour battery, a 15-kilowatt electrochemical generator, and high-pressure cylinders.

The range of the hydrogen prototype reaches 300 kilometers, but the test sample uses small-volume cylinders, which they want to increase when mass production starts. According to preliminary estimates, the range could grow to 650-800 kilometers.

Regarding the timing of the appearance of such a car, one of the creators of the hydrogen Ellada, head of the NTI Competence Center for technologies of new and mobile energy sources Yuri Dobrovolsky, said that creating a prototype would take at least a year.
