The car will be offered only with the e: HEV hybrid powertrain. It includes a 1.5-liter gasoline engine and two electric motors. The total power of the hybrid system has not been announced yet. Honda only stated that customers will be provided with "driving pleasure and fuel economy."

After the generation change, the five-door received new LED optics. The hatchback's lights are now positioned vertically, not horizontally as in the predecessor. Also, the car has new bumpers and a different hood. The car is available in five trim levels: Basic, Home, Ness, Crosstar, and Luxe. The versions will differ in interior trim and option sets. For example, the top Luxe modification will get leather-trimmed seats, while the Crosstar is equipped with water-repellent upholstery on the seats.

The car is available with the proprietary Honda Sensing safety suite, which includes adaptive cruise control and an upgraded collision mitigation system. The driver also has access to the Honda Connect infotainment system. Thanks to this, some car functions can now be controlled via a smartphone.
