The basis of the power plant is a two-liter gasoline TFSI engine with 252 horsepower. It is paired with a 143-horsepower electric motor integrated into the S-tronic robotic gearbox. The total maximum power of the unit reaches 367 horsepower.
A lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 14.1 kilowatt-hours is located in the trunk. It is enough for 53 kilometers of travel exclusively on electric power. According to the manufacturer's representatives, the fuel consumption of the power plant is about two liters per 100 kilometers.

The hybrid Audi A6 takes 5.6 seconds to accelerate from standstill to 100 kilometers per hour, and the sedan's top speed is limited to 250 kilometers per hour. The electric motor without the support of the internal combustion engine can reach a speed of 135 kilometers per hour.
Future owners will be able to choose one of three driving modes: EV, Hybrid, and Hold. In the first case, it is only about driving on electric power; Hold, on the contrary, allows you to turn it off, which will help in a situation where the driver needs to save the remaining energy. In hybrid driving mode, the car itself chooses when to turn off the electric motor and when it is better to move solely on it.
The hybrid modification of the A6 sedan with the TFSI e quattro index has already gone on sale at dealers, but so far only in Germany. It can be ordered at a price starting from 68,850 euros for the base configuration.
