Judging by the images, the Octavia will get a completely different radiator grille in the style of the updated flagship Superb model, as well as narrow aerodynamic blocks of exterior mirrors and LED matrix headlights, which will be available as an option. The company noted that the special roofline will give the liftback a coupe silhouette. At the rear, large letters with the model name will appear on the trunk lid - for the first time such a solution was used on the restyled Superb.
As expected, the interior of the new Octavia will be made in the spirit of the Scala hatchback. In particular, the liftback will have a fully digital instrument panel, an electronic parking brake, as well as a separate touchscreen display in the form of a tablet responsible for controlling multimedia.
The fourth-generation Skoda Octavia will be based on the modernized MQB modular platform. The engine lineup will include gasoline turbo engines: a three-cylinder unit with a displacement of one liter and a 1.5-liter "four". The diesel lineup will be represented by engines with a displacement of 1.6 and 2.0 liters. In addition, the model will have a "mild hybrid" modification with a starter-generator and a 48-volt on-board network, as well as a full-fledged petrol-electric version.
