The Mercedes-AMG GLB 35 is equipped with a two-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 306 hp and 400 Nm of torque, which is 82 hp and 50 Nm more than the output of the standard crossover's engine. The engine works in conjunction with an eight-speed robotic gearbox with two clutches and the AMG Performance 4Matic all-wheel drive system.

The car can accelerate from standstill to 100 km/h in 5.2 seconds, and its top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h.

AMG specialists significantly upgraded the suspension to reduce body roll when cornering at high speeds. In particular, they used new steering knuckles and a transverse tie rod on the front axle, while a specially developed subframe was applied at the rear. Adaptive AMG Ride Control suspension is available as an option.
