The exterior of the concept is based on the Precision Crafted Performance brand style, but uses new design language elements borrowed from the Acura ARX-05 Daytona sports prototype.
Obviously, the Acura Type S Concept is just a mock-up, not a running prototype. This is indicated by the glazing with opaque tinting and the absence of any information about the technical content. The company only mentions a new turbocharged V6 — it will likely appear on production Type S cars within the next two years. For now, more attention is drawn to the brand styling, which is based on "authentic values and expresses the essence of the Acura brand."
The appearance of the Acura Type S is an evolutionary interpretation of the Precision Crafted Performance brand style with the addition of new design elements: next-generation Jewel Eye four-segment LED headlights, a "porous" radiator grille, a strip of daytime running lights, and taillights in the shape of a chicane. The latter are borrowed from the Acura ARX-05 Daytona and should emotionally connect the road sedan with the racing sports prototype. The profile detailing is also top-notch: the hood has become longer, the cabin has moved rearward, and the rear section has been shortened.
Other features of the "hot" Acura Type S include the Double Apex Blue Pearl body color with nanopigment technology, which gives the paint brightness and shine, and a colored clear coat, body kit parts made of pressed carbon fiber, 21-inch wheels, as well as Brembo brakes with perforated rotors and four-piston calipers "all around."
