The lineup of the Chinese brand Dongfeng has added two electric pickup trucks. The senior model is built on the basis of the Ruijing 6, a legal "copy" of the Nissan Navara and its derivatives: the Renault Alaskan and the Mercedes-Benz X-Class. For the junior one, the previous-generation Rich model was taken as the base. The Dongfeng Ruijing 6 EV is equipped with a 120-kilowatt electric motor (163 horsepower and 420 Nm of torque) and a traction battery with a capacity of 67.9 kilowatt-hours. The declared range on a single charge is 402 kilometers according to the NEDC cycle.
Charging the battery from a fast terminal to 80 percent will take 45 minutes. The maximum speed that the Ruijing 6 EV can reach is 110 kilometers per hour. The ground clearance is 180 millimeters.

Simultaneously with the Ruijing 6 EV, production of the more affordable Rich EV has been launched. It is based on the previous-generation pickup, has a ground clearance of 185 millimeters, and is equipped with a battery with a capacity of 62.7 kilowatt-hours. The range of the Rich EV is 305 kilometers, and the maximum speed is only 100 kilometers per hour.
The electric motor of the SUV produces 116 horsepower and 290 Nm of torque.
The American Rivian also produces pickup trucks, but their characteristics are much more impressive. The R1T model has a ground clearance of 360 millimeters, is equipped with four electric motors, and can tow a trailer weighing up to 3500 kilograms. Acceleration from standstill to 60 miles per hour (96 kilometers per hour) takes three seconds for the R1T, and the range without recharging is 640 kilometers.
