As it became known, the car will be built on the basis of the electric Renault Fluence ZE, the production of which ceased last year. It will go into serial production in 2017.

The creation of the new electric car is part of the long-term plan of the company Dongfeng Renault Automotive Company (DRAC), within the framework of which five cars will be developed: two sedans, two SUVs and one electric vehicle. The total cost of this project will be $1.28 billion. The joint venture of Renault and Dong Feng - DRAC expects to produce 150 thousand cars per year, and by the end of the decade to raise the production bar to 600 thousand cars.
At the moment there are no details about the upcoming novelty. However, it is assumed that it will receive the power unit from the Fluence ZE. We are talking about a 94-horsepower unit powered by 24 kWh batteries. With such an engine, the sedan covers 185 km on a single charge.
