The statement emphasizes that the new firmware will give Chevrolet Niva drivers a more responsive throttle, dynamic acceleration, and an increased level of comfort when driving both in the city and on suburban highways, while fuel efficiency will remain the same. It is also noted that the update will not affect the working life of the power unit and will not violate environmental standards corresponding to the Euro-5 standard. The tests carried out confirmed that the traction and elasticity characteristics of the engine improved in the low and medium speed range.
It is worth recalling that under the hood of the Chevrolet Niva there is a 1.7-liter gasoline engine that develops 80 horsepower and a torque of 125 N·m. The unit works in conjunction with a five-speed manual gearbox and a permanent all-wheel drive system, equipped with a transfer case with two ranges and a locking center differential.
