It is expected that the festival at Goodwood will showcase a civilian modification of the car created for the 24 Hours of Le Mans race. This version of the GT supercar will feature a lightweight body and a large rear wing, which will distinguish it from the production model.

Recall that the Ford GT is equipped with a 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine from the EcoBoost line, producing 655 horsepower and 745 Nm of torque. The coupe accelerates to 100 km/h in about three seconds, and the top speed exceeds 345 kilometers per hour.

In addition, the Festival of Speed will feature the most powerful car in Ford's history — the Mustang Shelby GT500. Under the hood of the new model is a 5.2-liter V8 engine with a supercharger, delivering 770 hp and 847 Nm of torque. According to the creators, this engine is the most powerful and high-revving in the world among eight-cylinder units with mechanical supercharging.

The Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 accelerates from 0 to 96 km/h in about three seconds, and the electronics limit the top speed to 290 km/h. The car covers a quarter mile (402 meters) in less than eleven seconds.
