The Lexus GX underwent a restyling for the first time since 2013. The new car can be distinguished from its predecessor primarily by the massive radiator grille with a changed pattern. In addition, the SUV received modernized headlights with LED L-shaped daytime running light blocks.

An optional Sport Design package became available for the model, featuring special 19-inch wheels, different exterior mirror housings, and black exhaust tips.
Additionally, an Off-Road package is now offered for the GX, with additional fuel tank protection, transmission oil cooling, a surround-view camera function, and the Multi-Terrain Select system, which optimizes engine, transmission, and suspension settings for driving on various surface types.

The powertrain remains unchanged. The Lexus GX is equipped with a 4.6-liter V8 engine developing 305 hp and 446 Nm of torque. The engine works in conjunction with a six-speed automatic transmission, all-wheel drive, and a two-speed transfer case.
All vehicles, regardless of trim level, are now equipped with the Lexus Safety System+ suite, which includes adaptive cruise control, automatic high beam control, and a road sign recognition function.
