The short video shows the exterior of the upcoming crossover. Judging by the footage, the model will feature a recognizable radiator grille in the "tiger smile" style, rear lights united by a chrome trim, and narrow LED headlights. Overall, the new model's appearance will echo the SP Signature concept, which debuted in March 2019 at the Seoul Motor Show.
The interior is not shown in the video. However, judging by the design sketches, the crossover will feature a 10.25-inch touchscreen for the multimedia system, placed in a separate block, as well as a multifunctional steering wheel.
According to unofficial information, the Kia Seltos engine lineup will include a 1.4-liter turbocharged gasoline engine. The power of such a unit will reach 140 horsepower. Buyers will also be offered a two-liter engine producing 150 horsepower. Additionally, the car can be ordered with a 1.6-liter "turbo-four" with a power output of 200 horsepower.
The name Seltos comes from the name Celt, a character in ancient Greek mythology. He was the son of Hercules and Celtine, and from him the Celtic people descended. The letter S in the crossover's name indicates its "sportiness" and "speed."
