The new model became the first model of the British brand to feature all-wheel steering. At high speeds, the rear wheels turn in the same direction as the front ones, which will improve the car's stability, while at low speeds they turn in the opposite direction, increasing maneuverability.

The new Flying Spur is built on the modular MSB platform. This same chassis is used by the Porsche Panamera liftback and the Bentley Continental GT coupe. Thanks to the new platform, the car's wheelbase has increased by 130 millimeters. The car features fully LED lighting, chrome air vents in the front fenders, and 21-inch alloy wheels.
Inside, there is a 12.3-inch touchscreen that can be replaced with classic analog instrument dials, a Bentley clock with bronze trim, wireless smartphone charging, and a pair of USB ports. The driver has access to a blind spot monitoring system, lane keeping assist, night vision with pedestrian detection, a surround-view camera, and an automatic parking assistant.

The sedan is equipped with an upgraded W12 engine. The power of the gasoline unit is 635 hp and 900 Nm of torque. With this engine, the new Flying Spur accelerates to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds. The top speed of the car is 333 km/h. The engine works in conjunction with an 8-speed preselective ZF robot, which is also used on the Continental GT coupe.
The new torque distribution system in certain modes allows sending up to 100% of the torque to the rear axle, and engaging the front axle only as needed. Finally, the sedan is available with active Dynamic Ride anti-roll bars, powered by a 48-volt onboard system and designed to minimize body roll.
