The German automaker has abandoned the familiar Q4 name for the public. Instead, it was decided to use the Sportback index for the first time for a model in the SUV lineup. It is expected that the Audi Q3 Sportback will be shown to a wide audience in September at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
The technical filling of the new product will be borrowed from the regular Q3 — the differences will mainly affect the body shape. Under the hood, turbocharged petrol and diesel units with a displacement of 1.5 and 2.0 liters will be offered, developing from 150 to 230 horsepower. The appearance of a hybrid version capable of covering up to 50 kilometers on electric power is quite likely.
Also in preparation is a "hot" RS version, equipped with a 2.5-liter five-cylinder supercharged engine producing about 400 horsepower. Such a car will get a sport suspension and more powerful brakes.
