The "green" Corsa, which received the "e" prefix in its name, is equipped with an electric unit producing 136 hp and 260 Nm of torque. The engine allows the car to accelerate from standstill to 50 km/h in 2.8 seconds, while reaching 100 km/h takes 8.1 seconds.

The 50 kWh battery pack allows the electric car to travel up to 330 kilometers without recharging (according to the WLTP cycle). With the help of a special fast system, the battery reserve can be replenished to 80% in just half an hour.
As for the standard sixth-generation Opel Corsa, it will be built on the modular CMP (Common Modular Platform) architecture, which already underpins the new Peugeot 208 and DS3 Crossback. The new chassis will make the car about 100 kg lighter than its predecessor, which will positively affect fuel economy and vehicle dynamics.

According to preliminary data, the engine lineup will include a 1.2-liter three-cylinder turbocharged engine, which will be available in several stages of tuning. Top versions of the Opel Corsa will be equipped with LED matrix headlights, which debuted in 2015 on the new-generation Astra and then appeared on the flagship Insignia model.
