The Volkswagen Roomzz is built on the MEB platform. The show car is 4930 mm long, 1903 mm wide, and 1675 mm high. The wheelbase is 2965 mm. The crossover features an aerodynamic body with refined lines, special sliding doors, 22-inch wheels, and IQ Light Matrix LED headlights. The concept's rear lighting can display various symbols using special modules. The driver can change the light pattern at their discretion.

The interior features a projection display and a digital instrument cluster. The Roomzz is equipped with a level 4 autonomous driving system, meaning the car can drive itself, but the driver can take control at any time. When the autopilot is activated, the seats in the cabin can be rotated for more convenient communication with other passengers in the crossover.

The concept is equipped with two electric motors, one for each axle. The total power is 306 hp. The crossover can accelerate to 100 km/h in 6.6 seconds. The top speed is 180 km/h. The range is 450 km. The battery can be recharged in 30 minutes using the fast charging function.

Production of the production version of the Volkswagen Roomzz is expected to begin in 2020. The main competitors of the new model are the Tesla Model X and Audi E-tron.
