The Audi AI:me is built on the MEB platform, developed specifically for electric vehicles. The show car is 4.30 meters long, 1.90 meters wide, and 1.52 meters high. The wheelbase is 2.77 meters. The AI:me is designed in a futuristic style. The interior features a retractable steering wheel and a three-dimensional digital instrument cluster.

The AI:me is equipped with an electric motor mounted on the rear axle. The unit produces 170 hp. It is expected that the car will be used only in the city at speeds from 20 to 70 km/h, so according to the developers, such a powertrain is quite sufficient for the vehicle. The car's range is from 400 to 600 km.
The new model is equipped with a level four autonomous driving system. The electric vehicle navigates its surroundings thanks to a complex set of lasers, ultrasonic sensors, radars, and video cameras.

The AI:me is expected to be used in the carsharing system of the future. The electric car can be summoned to your home or office using a special app. The car is equipped with special compartments for storing laptops and tablets, as well as special magnets that can hold metal cups or plates.
The concept also comes with an upgraded infotainment system and augmented reality glasses that allow virtual images to be projected inside the cabin. Various infotainment functions are controlled via gestures and voice commands.
Audi plans to launch its own line of autonomous vehicles by 2021.
