The British publication AutoExpress has published spy shots featuring the new Volkswagen Golf. According to unofficial information, the public premiere of the model is expected in the coming months — this summer.

The company has already confirmed that the eighth generation of the Golf will be the most significant update in all 45 years of the model's existence. The photos show that the hatchback has acquired new headlights, a modified radiator grille, and different bumpers. Designers also promise that the interior of the car will undergo real changes that can be called revolutionary.
Serial production of the new model will begin in June at the plant in Wolfsburg. Total investments in the development of the model are estimated at about 1.8 billion euros, and production preparation will require another about 3 billion euros.
