The photo shows the front part of an electric SUV. Judging by the image, the new model will be equipped with standard side mirrors rather than cameras, and will feature headlights in the style of the Model 3. At the same time, some technical and design solutions will be carried over to the model from the larger Model X crossover.
It is assumed that the Model Y will have signature rear doors like "falcon wings." The crossover is expected to get two electric motors — one for each axle — and will also be able to be equipped with batteries of different capacities. The new model will be based on the platform used in the Tesla Model 3.
The presentation of the Tesla Model Y electric crossover is scheduled for March 14 and will take place at the company's design studio in Los Angeles. Elon Musk noted that the new model will be 10% larger and 10% more expensive than the Model 3.
