The Range Rover Sport HST is equipped with a three-liter gasoline V6 with twin-scroll turbocharging and an electric compressor that eliminates turbo lag. The supercharger is driven by an additional electric motor that can reach up to 120,000 revolutions per minute in just half a second. The powertrain also includes an intelligent system based on the start-stop function, which collects energy during braking using a 48-volt battery and powers the electric motor that engages when pulling away.
The hybrid Range Rover Sport accelerates to 100 km/h in 6.2 seconds, and its top speed reaches 225 kilometers per hour.
Initially, the Range Rover Sport HST will be offered as a special series with unique badges and carbon fiber decorative inserts on the body.
Inside, the model boasts front seats with 16-way electric adjustment and upholstery in black and red leather. Electronic assistants include adaptive cruise control, an emergency braking system designed for high speeds, and the Terrain Response off-road assistant.
In the UK, the Range Rover Sport HST crossover will cost at least 81,250 pounds sterling (about 105 thousand dollars).
