Data has appeared on the Bimmerpost forum that the new M3 will receive a noticeably revised three-liter engine with two turbochargers, which will be offered in several power variants.

The base version of the sports sedan will get 450 horsepower, and will also retain a manual gearbox and rear-wheel drive. The engine of the "middle" modification will develop 475 hp, while the flagship Competition version will be equipped with a unit with more than 500 horsepower, an xDrive all-wheel drive system and an automatic transmission.

For the "charged" versions, an adaptive suspension, a sports M-differential and carbon-ceramic brakes will also be provided.
