The published image shows that the supercar will get a redesigned front end with a new bumper and air intakes, as well as different headlights. It is also expected that the coupe will change compared to the previous version due to a different shape of the sills and a revised diffuser at the rear.
Whether the roadster's powertrain will be upgraded remains a mystery. The current model in the top Plus trim has a naturally aspirated 5.2-liter V10 engine under the hood, producing 610 horsepower and 560 newton-meters of torque. The current Audi R8 V10 Plus hits 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds, and the top speed reaches 328 kilometers per hour.
It is likely that the facelifted R8 will also get a more powerful version, equipped with a modified engine from the related track supercar Lamborghini Huracan Performante. In the Italian coupe, the same 5.2-liter engine produces 640 horsepower and 600 newton-meters.
