The recall campaign is being conducted due to the risk of coolant leakage in the exhaust gas recirculation system unit. In exceptional situations, when exposed to high temperatures, this malfunction can cause a fire.
The service action applies to vehicles manufactured between August 2010 and August 2017. The list of specific models, production dates, and sales regions will be announced later. Owners of such vehicles will have potentially problematic modules checked, and faulty elements will be replaced.
