Project Black S is a version of the Q60 coupe with an aerodynamic body kit and a hybrid powertrain. The car is intended to demonstrate that hybrid technologies can also be used in the most powerful models. Moreover, the Japanese borrowed the technology itself from the world of Formula 1. The Project Black S powertrain will include an energy recovery system (ERS), similar to the KERS system on racing cars. When braking, the coupe will be able to accumulate energy, subsequently using it during acceleration.
The hybrid powertrain includes a 3.0-liter gasoline V6 engine with an output of 400 hp. The total power of Project Black S is 570 hp. Acceleration to 100 km/h for the coupe will take about 4 seconds.
It is not excluded that in the future the Infiniti Project Black S concept will receive a production version.
