The powertrain of the new model combines a two-liter gasoline engine and an electric motor, which together produce 184 hp and 315 Nm of torque. The crossover offers three driving modes: hybrid, pure electric, and gasoline-only.
According to the manufacturer, the mode switching system here is "smart" and aimed at maximum fuel economy. At moderate speeds, the electric motor is used more than half of the driving time, while on the highway it engages much less frequently.
The Honda CR-V will be offered in both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive versions. For front-wheel drive, fuel consumption is claimed at 5.3 liters per 100 km in the combined cycle, and for all-wheel drive, 5.5 liters.
