One of the images shows that the designers of the Bavarian brand decided to abandon the traditional signature "Hofmeister kink" in favor of a more angular shape of the rear pillar.

It is assumed that BMW published photos of the version with the index M340i, which will be the top version of the model until the appearance of a full-fledged "charged" modification M3. According to unofficial data, the BMW M340i will be equipped with a three-liter turbocharged inline six-cylinder engine producing about 365 hp and 500 Nm of torque. The engine is combined with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The sedan will be available with both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive xDrive.

Earlier it was reported that the center of gravity of the new model will decrease by 10 mm, and the weight distribution across the axles will be ideal — 50:50. The weight of the BMW 3-Series will decrease by 55 kg, but the strength of the body structure and suspension will increase by 15-20%.

In addition, the new BMW 3-Series will receive a completely redesigned suspension — the sedan will become the first production BMW with special "smart" shock absorbers that "continuously and progressively work in accordance with the spring travel".

The premiere of the "three" will take place on October 2 at the Paris Motor Show.
