The electric car will be built on the basis of the hybrid Niro, which was presented in 2016. The powertrain will be borrowed from the Hyundai Ioniq Electric. For the European market, the range of the electric car will be increased to 485 km. Using a 100-kilowatt fast charging system, the battery charge can be replenished to 80% in 54 minutes.

The crossover will be equipped with an electric motor developing 204 hp and 395 Nm of torque. The unit will allow the electric car to accelerate from standstill to 100 km/h in 7.8 seconds.

The list of driver assistance systems will include forward collision avoidance, lane keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, as well as a rear cross-traffic alert system. The car will also be equipped with a new generation audio system with 8 speakers.
