The production vehicle will debut in January at the Detroit Auto Show, with sales starting in the first half of 2019.

Overall, the crossover turned out to be similar to the concept car of the same name that debuted in 2016. However, the production vehicle lost the unconventional rear doors that opened against the direction of travel, and also received different front and rear lighting.
The vehicle, shown during New York Fashion Week, received special equipment, including a snorkel, off-road tires, special bumpers, and protective metal underbody plates. Additionally, an aluminum and wood roof rack was installed on the crossover.

The Kia Telluride engine lineup will include a six-cylinder gasoline engine. It is assumed that this is a 3.3-liter V6 unit, which, for example, develops 294 horsepower in the American version of the Sorento.
Production of the crossover will be established at a plant in the state of Georgia. It is not yet known whether the Kia Telluride will appear on the European market.
