Earlier, there was information that the model would hit the market under the name Mach 1. This designation was already used for high-performance Mustang modifications. However, due to dissatisfaction among Ford brand fans, it was decided to abandon this option.
The project is being implemented by the Ford Team Edison division, which is responsible for developing all of the company's electric models. In the future, the new product should compete with the Tesla Model X. Production will be set up at Ford's Mexican plant.
