Porsche plans to equip its electric newcomer with a pair of electric motors placed on the axles — front and rear. These units will be close in design to those already used on the Porsche 919 Hybrid racing car. The total output of the power plant will reach 600 horsepower, and power will be provided by an 800-volt on-board electrical system.

From zero to one hundred kilometers per hour, such an electric car will be able to accelerate in 3.5 seconds. A single battery charge will be enough for approximately 500 kilometers of travel. If you use the brand's fast charging station, you can replenish the energy reserve for a distance of up to 400 kilometers in just fifteen minutes.

The production plans of the German brand provide for the release of about 20,000 such cars annually. This is approximately two-thirds of the current assembly volumes of the 911 model.

Let us recall that the approximate cost of the new product has already been announced earlier: the starting price of the Porsche Taycan should be about 90,000 euros, which roughly corresponds to the base version of the Panamera.
